السَّلاَمُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ

Moon Sighting

The Shawwal moon was not been sighted in the Haramain Sharifain (Makkah and Medina) on April 8, 2024.

Therefore, Eid-ul -Fitr will be observed on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, which corresponds with the first of Shawwal.

Eid Prayer Schedule

Eid prayers will be held at the Muslim Community Center of Union County (located at 964-984 Magie Ave, Elizabeth, NJ, 07208) as follows:

• 7:30 AM: first prayer, led by Sufi Abdul Manaf.

• 8:30 AM: second prayer, led by Dr. Shahid Farooqui.

• 9:30 AM: third and final prayer, led by Imam Alvi Sahib.

Fitra and Zakat

We kindly urge you to pay your fitra payment at your earliest convenience. At the very latest it must be made prior to the observance of the Eid prayer. The fitra payment is $15 per person. Additionally, please remember to pay your Zakat before the Eid prayer, in accordance with our duty to support those in need.

Let us also remember the suffering of our brothers and sisters in Palestine. Their struggle continues amidst great hardship and oppression. In solidarity with our brothers and sisters enduring hardship in Palestine, we are collecting funds to support them in their struggle.

May Allah (SWT) allow us to make the best of the remainder of Ramadan. May Allah (SWT) accept our prayers, forgive our sins, and guide us on the straight path. May Allah (SWT) grant relief to the oppressed, alleviate their suffering, and bring peace to all corners of the world. Ameen.

Eid Mubarak to all!

A message from the Youth Group: we had a great time running a bake sale during the community iftaars on Friday and Saturday. The bake sale is running all weekend, so if you haven't had a chance to support it, please come out to the masjid during iftaar and support us. All donations collected will be donated to the masjid. Enjoy the video!
